In my environment I have deduplication enabled and with gains of 2.7.
I would like to know which files the vSAN does the deduplication and if it is able to see at the operating system level, saving for example file server files.
vSAN deduplication is not file level but block level, and it happens per "disk group". So when it comes to analytics, you won't see that level of detail unfortunately.
