Greetings,
I deployed vSAN 8.0 witness appliances in my lab, the one for OSA and the one for ESA (just out of curiosity). After adding the machines as hosts to vCenter 8.0 I noticed that their "Host Image Profile Acceptance Level" is set to "Community Supported". I have never seen that before. I compared to an existing vSAN 7.0 witness appliance host, and their the acceptance level is "Partner Supported".
Technically it should be possible to configure the acceptance level of a witness appliance to the highest level "VMware-certified", because it contains only VMware certified software packages by default.
So why is it set to the lowest level "Community Supported" with vSAN 8.0? This has for sure a security impact...
@depping : Can you comment on this?

I haven't even noticed myself, will have a look and ask the team.
Bug filed and escalated to the Product Manager, PM agreed, this should be fixed asap.
Okay, good to know, thanks!
