VVOL Mechanism

Hi,

I confuse about VVOL mechanism. for example, if an expert apply wrong storage policy on a VM (Apply Archive storage policy to Database server), how system detect it?

do VM IOPS monitor?, is there any IOPS threshold for any Storage policy based on SLA model?, I don't understand monitoring system on VVOL
