The problem about vSAN Health Service - vSAN Build Recommendation - vSAN release catalog up-to-date (58891)

I show up " vSAN Health Service - vSAN Build Recommendation - vSAN release catalog up-to-date " when I deploy VSAN. I find KB 58891.

I found KB 58891, but the operation" click Configure > vSAN > Update, and click Upload from the file in the Release Catalog section" described in KB was not visible.

Please see the attached picture.

Hello TheBobkin,

Yes. It's confusing and I also had a SR open a few weeks ago because I couldn't find this setting (SR #19060154301).

The KB article explicitly mentions the vSphere Client, not the vSphere Web Client ("In the vSphere Client, click Configure..."). And in the HTML5 user interface, I could find this setting at the vCenter level as well.

This setting is only visible in the vSphere Client (HTML5), not in the vSphere Web Client. And you need to select the vCenter, not the vSAN cluster.

So, open the vSphere Client (HTML5) -> select your vCenter on the left side -> Configure -> vSAN section -> Update

Hello mace_wuu,

This doesn't appear to exist at the location from the kb article nor from the Health UI Build Recommendation check - it came up with a colleague recently but I didn't think much of it as it was a nested lab with no internet connectivity - I will aim to take a look into this from my side but I would advise you also open a Support Request in case logs etc. are required.

sk84 - from what I have seen this doesn't appear to be HTML5/Flex Client specific, though if you have screenshots from where you found it in the HTML5 Client please do share them.

Hello Sebastian,

Thank you for that - I will show it to my colleague and inform him he is not losing his mind looking for something that is not there

That being said it *was* clickable from the Health UI test before (or I am also losing my mind) and I also recall it somewhere from cluster, as I said though, not there in 6.7 HOL:

Oh, that's really interesting. My screenshot is from version 6.7 U1. So, maybe this option was added with Update 1 in the HTML5 user interface.

And you are right that there is no button or link directly from the corresponding vSAN Health Check in 6.7 U1. But I don't know if it was any different before. Unfortunately I can't remember.
