Supported method to move VSS to VDS

Is there a supported method to move the vSAN VMKernel from VSS to VDS when running a VCSA on vSAN? I haven't found anything online that shows this can be done while the cluster is running - assuming it's best to move the VCSA to different storage and plan a maintenance window? Thanks.
