    Hi All,

I have a question regarding "VM with remote protection only" on stretched cluster. What is the required VSAN license to configure this (standard or enterprise):

        stretched cluster configuration

2 nodes per site (in the same Fault Domain)

         more than 25 VMs

no local protection (only remote protection, the HA will be in other site)

witness appliance in other vSphere Cluster.

    Thanks for your help

    Hello bertonn

    Welcome to (posting on) Communities.

Any 2+2+1 or larger stretched cluster requires vSAN Enterprise (or vSAN Enterprise/Enterprise+ in 6.7 U3) regardless of whether using local-protection or not - only 1+1+1 Stretched clusters can use vSAN Standard (Scenario 14)

(yes, I know the syntax of the licensing sheet does mention local protection but note it doesn't mention 'Stretched cluster' by itself otherwise)
