Policy for dedicated and isolated physical switches?

I haven't been able to find any documentation related to the support for a physically separate VSAN network. Does anyone have experience with this or know if it is a supported configuration?

I essentially would like to create a dedicated physical network explicitly for VSAN without any traffic flowing between the physical VSAN switches and the rest of the production network; essentially the same way a Fibre Channel network would be separate from an IP network.

I know the requirements for multicast and VSAN heartbeats on a single subnet, I assume that VSAN heartbeats over the dedicated VSAN VMKnic.

AFAICT this is supported configuration.
