Dear All,
I've a question about memory requirement of VMware vSAN.
We got a request like this:
“Each computing node must provide at least 256GB of memory capacity. For example, VMware vSAN, the memory capacity occupied by the storage service shall be deducted. the memory capacity of the actual computing function must be at least 230 GB or more.”
“256GB” can fulfill vSAN storage service and computing function requirement (230GB) on the SKU?
How to calculate memory requirement of vSAN storage service?
If 256GB cannot fulfill the requirement, how many memory capacity is recommended for each vSAN Node?
Thanks!
Regards,
Osito
Hello Osito,
How much memory overhead is required varies depending on disk configuration, all the info you need is here:
256GB *should* provide 230GB+ usable in most circumstances but this depends on your configuration.
