    Hi,

I'm implementing an hybrid vSAN infrastructure and I have a question about the disk cache setting.

    Hardware:

    4x Lenovo x3650

2x disk groups per host with the folowing hard drive :

    1x800GB SSD for caching tier

7x1,2TB HDD for the capacity tier

    SAS Controller Lenovo N2215.

My question : Do I need to enabled or disabled this setting?

This is a setting in the controller bios for each hard drive :  Disk Cache Setting (Enabled or Disabled)

I know we need to disabled the controller cache, since I do not have any cache on that controller, i'm ok. I'm just confuse about the Disk Cache Setting since I didn't found any information, except in the VmWare compatibility guide that said : Mandatory: Disk Cache

    Thanks

    David

Normally you wouldn't touch the settings on the disk itself. I have not heard about anyone doing that ever to be honest.

Thanks for the information. I receive the same answer from the VMware support.
