HBA | Downgrade Firmware?

I am setting up a new 4 host 6.0U2 Hybrid VSAN.

I will be using the LSI SMC3008.

The HCL lists 10.00.03.00-IT for this configuration.

For other things like my drives, it list's minimum firmware version.

For HBA the HCL specified specifically "Firmware Version".

In this scenario, should I downgrade the firmware of my HBAs from 12.00.02.00-IR to 10.00.03.00-IT?

Good morning, you should always match the HCL; even if it requires a firmware/driver downgrade.  Thank you, Zach.
