Guest OS corruption disk

Hello,

I have a  strange situation:

- We have upgraded a vSAN streched cluster infrastructure from vSAN 6.6.1 to vSAN 6.7u1  (ESXi 6.7u2), with this steps

     - Upgrade of controller firmware of  HOSTs esxi  (the source versione was not compatibility with vSAN 6.7u1, the target version are compatibility with vSAN 6.6.1 and vSAN 6.7.1

     - Upgraded vCenter

     - Upgraded Host ESXi

     - Upgraded Witness

     - Upgraded vSAN disk

I have followed this instruction vSAN 6.7 Upgrade Considerations | VMware

The upgrade are made done well.

After this or while we have upgrading the vSAN, the guests os (some guests os where  we have done the past a vmdk extension) have showed a corruption error on the guest os filesystem  or DB corruption.

I have found this KB58715 VMware Knowledge Base

I have opened a support request to VMware Support  that it has indicated to me that surely that is the cause and has suggested me to try to clone the VMs and if it does not work try  a restore of the data.

I have a question, someone else has had the same problem, can it be the trigger of this  the update or vmotion activities? Because it seems really strange to me that it is a coincidence that the problems started during the updating activities

ThankYou

Fabio
