Design for a 3-Room szenario

Hi all

In my scenario I have 3 datacenter in the same campus. Mean I have multi 10Gb/s LAN connectivity between the rooms.

Only a handful VM's, but i await max resilience.

Facts:

3 rooms

1 Host per room

Allflash (8x 800GB SSD per host)

Now my question, what is the better design?

A: Standard design FTT=?

B: Stretched cluster design

C: something that I don't now

many thanks in advance...

Hello STRI,

With a 3-node cluster (stretched or standard), max is FTT=1 .

Standard-cluster requires <1ms latency between nodes/rooms and would be the preferred option here. In a stretched-cluster the Witness-node requires very little utilization and only a tiny amount of storage so a full box would be overkill (you could pull must of the storage out of it or use a Witness VM instead if going stretched).
