Hi,
We've been having issues with our vSAN recently and VMWare tasked us to delete/recreate our disk groups and upgrade some firmware. I started yesterday and immediately hit an issue. Turns out when you delete/recreate a disk group, it recreates it in the newest disk format.
So now I've got one host on version 5 and the rest on version 3. They can't join the same cluster now and you can't upgrade the version 3 disk groups because of the network partition.
If anyone has any thoughts let me know.
^ doing that, destroying and re-creating in format version 4 fixed my issue. Now I'm running into a problem with the host being in a different network partition. Will update if I figure that out too.
With the use of VSAN 6.6, a downgrade is not possible.
