Alert "Errors occurred on the disk(s) of a vSAN host" is not clear even the disk has been recovered.

Hi all,

I faced a problem from testing SSD cache failure.

I removed the disk by python /usr/lib/vmware/vsan/bin/vsanDiskFaultInjection.pyc -u -d UUID command and the error alert "Errors occurred on the disk(s) of a vSAN host" was come out.

After that, I did rescan storage for purpose of recovery task and the disk become healthy again.

But the error alert wasn't clear automatically by themselves.

-Do the alert should clear automatically by themselves?

-Do we need to do reset to green for the alert?

-Have any solution to clear the alert without doing reset to green?

Thanks

Hello,

You will have to reset the alarm, it won't clear itself by design - the reasoning behind this is that if you have a transient issue in your cluster and don't notice it when it is occurring, we make sure you see and acknowledge the alert. Is there any particular reason you have issue with doing this?
