2 Nodes Vsan

Hi, We are going to set-up 2 Nodes Vsan. Is it ok that the witness appliance has different Build to the host since I cannot find the version or build i want?

I tried to find this version of Witness " Esxi 6.7.0 build 16773714 but i cannot Find It.

So We decided to install witness with different build

@robbiequindala1 , while it shouldn't cause any issues if it is of the same major version (6.7 U3) it is recommended to be on the same build - unfortunately Witness downloads aren't created for every ESXi update but you can download the latest one (6.7 U3b) and then patch it to the build you are using with a standard VMware ESXi image (don't use a custom vendor one).

Hi,

You can upgrade your Witness to that specific build using VUM, or do it manually. The patch can be downloaded from here:

@robbiequindala1, it can be updated manually or using VUM just like any other ESXi host, though do bear in mind what I said above regarding using a 'vanilla' VMware ISO and not something custom:

Using VUM:

https://docs.vmware.com/en/VMware-vSphere/6.7/com.vmware.vsphere.update_manager.doc/GUID-F7191592-04...

Via CLI:
