2 Node Direct-Connect for Stretched Cluster supported?

Hello,

I had a long talk with a colleague, could you please confirm that in a Stretched Cluster with 2 nodes, direct-connect is not supported ?

vSAN 2 Node Direct-connect (with WTS) is only supported for ROBO vSAN right?

Ref : Storage and Availability Technical Documents

Cluster configurations stretched

Separation of witness traffic is not supported in extended cluster configurations.

Thanks.

WTS is currently not supported for StretchedClusters. Keep an eye on this space... Smiley Wink

If you have a Stretched Cluster, which means you have 3 sites (primary, secondary and witness appliance), then WTS is not supported yet, correct.

vSAN ROBO is a license. You can have 2-node with direct-connect using WTS (or not), and either ROBO license or other vSAN licenses depending on the need of features.
