Segment ID Mismatch from vRNI

Hi,

I got alert from vRNI. Segment ID Mismatch across the NSX Managers:

NSX Manager-A: 5000 - 1000          (LS using only 5001 5007) using by Vcenter-A

NSX Manager-B : 10000 - 90000     (LS using only 10000-10003) using by VCenter-B

Above both NSX & Vcenter are different and can't able to communicate with each other (totally separate )

I want to change the Segment ID:

NSX Manager-A: 5000 - 9999

NSX Manager-B : 10000 - 19999

Question #1: After configuration can i change the segement ID?

Question #2: if change then there will be any impact on the production?

Thanks

Hi,

You can change the Segment IDs when you already have Logical Switches created, as long as the new range includes the IDs that are already in use by those Logical Switches. The interface won't let you change the range if that's the case.

It will not have any impact on running switches as the Segment IDs are only called upon when creating a new LS and, as mentioned, you can't change the range to something not in the scope of IDs already being used.
