Our enterprise is moving to Jakarta in the near future, possibly before we are able to make it to production with the current version of plugin. Has the plugin been tested with Jakarta? Will VMware attempt to stay in lockstep with future SNOW releases for the plugin?
With the release of the 3.0 plugin comes the Jakarta support. However, our testing seemed to indicate that the 2.0 plugin worked appropriately.
Plugin is not tested against ServiceNow > Jakarta. This is in pipeline and from next release plugin will support Jakarta. Timelines are not fixed yet.
Thanks. Any insight on how closely aligned Plugin updates will be with SNOW updates? We generally maintain a Biannual cadence with our SNOW releases. Server provisioning is only a small part of the overall ServiceNow ecosystem in our enterprise and we can't expect them to hold the releases while we await upgrades for the plugin. If we can't ensure cross version supportability, the plugin may not be a viable option for us.
There is no fix plan as such but our Intention is to support the plugin ASAP as there is no specific dates published by SNOW community for their release. Plugin has provided support for Fuji, Helsinki and Istanbul, so we will continue with our trend.
Support for Istanbul is great news, but we will await the announcement for support of Jakarta. Thank you!
VRealizeAutomationPluginForITSM.2.0 includes following changes
1. Support for Istanbul
2. Support for vRealize Automation 7.3
3. Amazon AWS support.
