vapp template password

I need to create a VAPP TEMPLATE with a windows VM with a fixed administrator password and not with a auto generated password as is by default.

We I create the vapp template, importing a VM from vsphere, I can open the VM and in the tab GUEST OS CUSTOMIZATION I cannot modify the 'password reset' fileds. Why?

Hi,

vApp templates are static entities and cannot be changed. The way to change it is to provision a vApp from it, modify the vApp and recapture the vApp into the catalog as a vApp template, with the customization settings set up as you want them.

Cheers,

Milos

Hi, I've tried to convert the vapp into a vapp template selecting the 'customize VM setting' option but the new template in the catalog and in opening the tab GUEST OS CUSTOMIZATION I always cannot modify the 'password reset' fileds.

Where I'm wrong?
