vCloud Director Branding

Hey vmware experts Smiley Wink

I'm looking for an option in vCloud Director 1.5.1 that Organisations can do their own branding. Like uploading there Company Logo or change there colors on the Web Interface.

Is there any solution?? Is it working with the new vCloud Suite version ??

kind regards

Hi,

I'm trying to customize login page in vCloud Director 5.1 to remove vmware logo and background. The idea is to have company branded service and that's the idea of having private/public cloud. I was trying to use css from kb.vmware.com/kb/1026050 but it doesn't work, I think that vmware has dramatically changed logon screen and hasn't updated required css.

I have also tried to manually replace logo simply copying vmware-login-logo.png to proper directory on vcloud director linux machnie. After doing that new logo displays correctly but after server reboor I cannot get login window, anly grey screen show in my browser.

Is there any simple way to customize logon window in vcd 5.1? Citrix allows to fully customized login window in XenApp, why vmware cannot do it?

In response to SuperMega: vCloud Director 5.1 allows for system-wide branding customization, but not per-organization customization. We are tracking per-org customization as a feature request.

In response to Danooo: we will be updating the KB article shortly with a new CSS example + instructions for VCD 5.1. We apologize for the delay and oversight.

Thanks,

Catherine

Hi Catherine,

Have you any update on this. I badly need to custiomise 5.1 as we are demonstrating it to customers this week.

I have tried the KB and manually adjusting css. The KB doesn't work and the manual changes just revert after a restart of VCD.

Kind Regards,

Hi,

I know there is an update for vCloud 1.5.1. Does anyone know if this update resolves any of the branding issues?

Regards,

Danny

Branding it as a vCloud level, not at an org level.  I know this is a feature that has been requested (as I requested it almost a year ago) - but currently branding can only be done for everyone or no-one.  To get around this type of issue we have used the API to make portals when needed.

Hi everyone!

Finally the updated KB for branding the vCloud Director interface in version 5.1 has been published.

It can be viewed here:
