vCloud Director 1.5 nothing to show in browser

Hi all

I have install the vCloud Director 1.5 with MSSQL 2008, after installation everything is fine. When I open the browser to config it, it shows nothing.

Does anyone have idea about it.

Could you clarify nothing? What does your browser do?

Normally you would get at least a response "Service is unavailable".

Please could you provide further information.

If you're receiving a page with just a dark grey background, everything probably isn't OK.  The installation may have been successful, but the service probably had problems starting even though the service command said OK during startup.  From the cell, you can check $VCLOUD_HOME/logs/cell.log and you will probably see that it hasn't hit 100%.  You can also check $VCLOUD_HOME/logs/vcloud-container-debug and $VCLOUD_HOME/logs/vcloud-container-info.log for more infomation.

Check the log file as described above. I had the same issue (dark grey screen on the web browser), and found an error in my DNS. Make sure the hostname of the vCD host  is registered in your DNS. I used the http proxy NIC IP address to register the hostname in the DNS. I originally found the error by looking at the log and reading the error output. Hope it's that easy!
