Here's the environment:
- ESXi 5.5 with vCenter 5.5
- vCloud Director 5.5
- vCenter Orchestrator
- vFabric Application Director 6
The only item in this whole chain that is being backed up is the vCenter database... I'm afraid. Here are the infrastructure VMs:
- 2 x vCloud Director cells
- Connection server
- SQL database server
- vCenter (appliance I believe)
- vCenter Orchestrator (appliance)
- vFabric Application Director (appliance)
- Infrastructure Navigator
- vShield Manager
- Update Manager
- vRealize Ops Manager (appliance)
- vShield edge devices
As most of the research I've done so far is centred around backing up vApps and VMs in a vCloud Director environment, it was suggested by my local VMware SE that I should poll the community here and read the blogs here as well.
