vCD 8.20 - VAAI Check-box Grayed Out

Hi,

I need someone to explain to me how VAAI works in vCloud Director.

In our vCloud Director 8.20 the check-box for "Enable VAAI for Fast provisioning" is grayed out for my Datastore Cluster?

All the ESXi 6.0 hosts support HW Acceleration in our environment.

The Storage array is HPE 3PAR 8440.

The datastores in vCD must be NFS for that option to become available (un-grayed out). 

If you're hosts have the VAAI plugin installed per your storage vendor and the DS is NFS, then you can take advantage of it just as you would in vSphere.  vCD is just a multi-tenant web overlay to vSphere.

Thank you for the confirmation that it has to be NFS.

I hope that VAAI is working in HPE 3PAR as is.
