re-size hard disk

Hello,

When I try to resize a VM hard disk in the vcloud director tenant portal, its return with an error "fast-provisioned hard drives and hard drives part of a vm snapshot cannot be resized" and fast provision disabled for the tenant VDC

Since Fast Provisioned is disabled, then that VM must have a snapshot. If there is a snapshot, you cannot re-size a virtual disk. Remove any snapshots on that VM, consolidate if needed, then you can re-size the VM.

Hello Luciano,

Thank you for responding.

there were no snapshots present,

issue When an engineer failed over a VM (VCDA), he selected the most recent instance. As a result, there was no option to resize.

The disk can be resized after consolidation.

Yes, removing snapshots, or consolidation should do the trick.

Good that was fixed.
