change host in Vcloud Director..

I am running esx i 5.0 On Cisco UCS with Vcloud director v 1.5.1 running on top.

Thanks for famous cisco bugs, i am required to restart a Blade . I am unable to Vmotion VM from the blade gettign some weird erros during validation check.

I cannot find any way to vmotion vm;s in Vcloud Director. So i am stuck nowwhere.

What;s the solution. a TSE from vmware suggested us to Put the host in maintainance mode And this will trigger vmotion of VM;s automatically but given the errors during validation ,i am a bit skeptical doing it. What do other do when in similiar situation.

Regards

Sushil

You might want to start with mentioning the exact error you receive when vMotioning a VM to another host. That will give us an idea around what you are facing.

PS: you cannot vMotion VMs from within the vCloud UI. The vCloud UI abstracts all this logic as users typically don't care on which host they run as long as they get the resources they need. So any vMotion/Maintenance mode type of action needs to happen in vCenter.
