VMware vCloud Director lost connection with AMQP Server

Hi Community,

actually I have the problem that vCloud Director send the message "VMware vCloud Director lost connection with AMQP Server "servername"" when the backup starts respectively a virtual machine snapshot of the AMQP server machine is done. I have tested that a snapshot results in a one ping loss.

Is there a possibility to increase the timeout value for vCD of sending this message?

Can you please provide some further information in regards to your setup? Is it multi-cell? multiple AMQP servers? what sort of backup technology are you using?

If you are using RabbitMQ you could try setting keepalive in the config, otherwise this can be avoided with clustering/mirroring and load balancing depending on the frequency and requirements.
