VMRC fails with self signed certificate

Hi,

We're currently evaluating vCloud Director and got stuck when we're trying to access the VMs console via vmrc started from the webconsole.

The logs show this

Resolving IP address for hostname 91.223.232.229
2012-08-07T14:21:59.198+01:00| mks_vmrc| Resolved to XXX
2012-08-07T14:21:59.257+01:00| mks_vmrc| cui::CertificateCheck::CheckCert - SSL verification failure for "XXX" due to a host thumbprint mismatch.
2012-08-07T14:21:59.257+01:00| mks_vmrc|
2012-08-07T14:21:59.258+01:00| mks_vmrc| cui::vmrc::MessageMgr: "SSL verification failure for "XXX" due to a host thumbprint mismatch.
2012-08-07T14:21:59.258+01:00| mks_vmrc| "

The certificate is self signed. Any ideas on how to solve the issue?

Do you have multiple cells in your enviornment (possibly behind a load balancer)?

No, but i turned out that the vCD server wasn't configured to listen to the IP that I thought i was, so when i connected with VMRC i was connecting to the IP with the vCD webinterface and API, not the one for VMRC.

I added a 3rd IP and reconfigured vCD to listen on that IP to, and then updated my DNS config, and voila, it worked.
