VCDNI handling of broadcasts

Does anybody know how VCDNI external networks on vshield-edge and VDS are handling broadcasts , multicasts and unknow-unicast frames ?

so - broadcasts and multicasts on any VCDNI-baked network , goes all the way up to the shared vlan and back to any VCDNI networks , tested and verified

I may not be understanding what you are discovering, but if by 'shared vlan' you mean the vlan that is used to tunnel the traffic between VMs on different hosts, then this is expected.  Only VMs participating in the network backed by a vCD-NI network pool should see the traffic -- especially broadcasts and multicasts to any multicast group to which the VM belongs.

So can you clarify what you expected vs. what  you are observing and perhaps explain  how you tested this?

Mr Manythank (aka Koren Lev from Cisco Isreal?) are you still around bashing vShield? You do indeed have time to waste.

Get a real job.

Massimo.
