VCD 1.5 network pools

hi

trying to get a better understanding of the concepts beyond the VMware docs and videos on the vmware Youtube channel.

Can anyone provide docs/websites that explain network pools in vcloud director 1.5?

thank you

I do not have a quick link to provide - but a network pool is used to allow for "fenced" or nat isolated networks to exist.

Mnay vCloud setups use VCNI for isolation.  Each network (org level - or vapp level) will use a resource from the pool.  If VCNI the pool is a bunch of ID's assigned to a single VLAN.  If VLAN based isolation the pool will have a bucnh of vlans that can be used for isolation.

There's a lot more to networking besides fencing. At vApp level there's fenced network, isolated vApp net and routed vApp net. At the org level there's isolated org net and routed org net. NAT is not a requirement for any routed network.
