Shutting down OS instead of Power Off

Hi,

we installed vCloud Director recently and are evaluating it right now. Is there any possibility to shut down a VM (vmware tool installed) properly, instead of a hard power off which happens when using the Context-Menu in vCloud-Director ? When using the Power-Off button in vCenter, the system shuts down properly (as configured in settings-> vmware tools)

Best regards

Carsten

You can specify what action vCloud Director takes when you stop a vApp in the properties for that vApp. Select a vApp an click Properties. Click the Starting and Stopping VMs tab in the Properties window. Set the Stop Action for the VMs in the vApp. You can choose Power Off (default) or Shutdown.
