We are looking at how we can add some resiliency to the vCloud Director DB and have been looking at MS SQL with Always On.
However in our testing we can't seem to get it working with the JDBC path that vcloud uses (it connect to the local site's DB server instead of the HA listener)
Anyone had any luck in getting vCloud working with SQL always On?
Are running 5.6.4
What modifications have you done to the JDBC connection string in the global.properties of the cell?
In the mean time, I'll see if I can find out what version of jTDS is in use there. Depending on the version, it might not even support AlwaysOn availability groups.
Just pointed in directly at the listener, i can't see jTDS installed on the vCloud Cell
Does vCloud install an SQL client with the app?
couldn't see it listed as a required package in the install reqs: VMware vCloud Director 5.6 Documentation Center
