As far as i know:

From the browser to the Cell: https (443)

From the Cell to vCenter and ESX: 443, 902, 903

I'm working on a complete diagram showing all the connections and ports for all the elements.

Hi Hany!!

That is what I thought but I am getting an error .

"error opening the remote virtual machine <Public IP>\vm-420:

A connection to the host could not be established."

The cell has a open network to the vcenter and the hosts so the issue has to be at my firewall.

Hey, nice work on the vCD stuff. I sse that Duncan and yourself are working hard on keeping us all updated.......thank you!!

Thanks Mark for the kind words, much appreciated!! We all learn from the legend (aka Duncan) Smiley Happy

Please note that vCD has a lot of other connections with different elements, but I will leave this for others to advise on.

Pile of questions:

Does `netstat -nape | grep 443` show a java process listening on the IP you've specified as the (internal) console proxy IP when running the configure script? (It should also show 443 open on the HTTP service IP)

Can you telnet telnet to 443, 902, and 903 on the VC host from the vCD server?

Can you telnet to the public console proxy IP on port 443 from outside your LB?

OK I got....I dropped the Public IP from the System\Administration\Public address and then added it again.

This time I got the SSL warning and the error, then the 2nd time I got the console.

Happy days...

thank you all

I got a diagram somewhere with all the ports. Will see if I can clean it up and post it here this week.

Indeed, 443 from user to vCD cell.
