Problem: Creating a Provider vDC using multiple ESX servers as resources.

Problem: Creating a Provider vDC using multiple ESX servers as resources.

When I select Resource Pool, it seems that I can only select one

ESX server. I see 7 ESX servers available.

What am I missing? Any Provider vDC would have multiple ESX server..

I have some links that you can take a look at - I believe providers are taken from already created resource pools from clusters/esx servers. Here are some additional VERY HELPFUL information:

It sounds like your ESX servers aren't part of a cluster, or your have a cluster with no resource pools

Awesome! Thanks for the quick reply.

Yes, the ESX was not part of a cluster.

I created a cluster and now my Provider vDC see multiple hosts.

If I add ESX hosts to this cluster in the future, my Provider vDC should pick the new host up ????
