Move vApp between organisations

Hi all,

I was wondering if there was any way to move vApps between orgs?

I have a requirement where we would like to set runtime leases based on the type of environment the vApp is running in (test, dev, UAT, etc.) As far as I can tell, runtime leases happen at the org level, not at the org vdc level. What I'd like to be able to do is migrate vApps between orgs so that the VMs inherit the different runtime leases of that org. As the vApp approaches Production, the lease extends...

AFAIK, there is no way to 'move' vApps to different org. What you can do is share a template between orgs and create vApps from it

It depends what you  mean by 'move'.

You can't do Storage vMotion, but you can power down the vApp ad Export it out of Org 1 (to OVF formate) and then 'Import' it to Org 2.
