I attached a second datastore (ds2) to a vCloud instance and added it to the Provider vDC but nothing will deploy there. I would also like to remove the original datastore (ds1) before the noisy drives fail. FYI, ds2 has 4TB (99% free), ds1 has 1TB (20%) free.
1) I migrated all of the templates in vCenter to ds2 and when I check my catalog it shows them sitting on ds2; browsing the datasotre confirms this. However, when I deploy they only deploy to ds1.
2) If I disable ds1 in the datastore list, all the items in the catalog report an error that no valid datstore is present. If I try to remove the datastore in the PvDC set-up, I get an error.
3) I tried creating a new catalog and both copying and moving the templates over but that causes the template to move off of ds2 and back to ds1.
I saw the same behavior with Fast Provisionig enable and disabled.
Any suggestions on how I successfuly truly migrate to ds2 and remove ds1?
