Issue accessing VCD 5.1 using public address

My internal FQDN for my VCD 5.1 cell (which is the appliance version) is vcd.domain.local.

My VCD public URL: is http://demo.domain.co.uk

When accessing VCD portal internally I have no issues. Externaly though I get the connection issues 9 times out of 10.

I know my internet connection is OK because I tested it with other internal portals.

I know my port forwarding is OK because I tested it with other services.

My IP settings and gateway are just fine. Sometime (not very often) the page will load externally

Is there a bug with the appliance version of VCD 5,1?

I've seen asymmetric routing cause a problem once and a while.  something similar to this: https://access.redhat.com/knowledge/solutions/53031/.

Also, note that the appliance is only for Proof of Concept.  If you intend to roll into production, this means you need to install a full version on a complete OS with an External Database.
