Installing vCloud Agent without Maintenance Mode

Hi folks,

I am settings up a vCloud Director in a single box on local storage. Problem is: When vCloud Director "prepare"s the host it tries to put it into maintenance mode which - of course - fails, as cloud director, vcenter, etc etc has to be running on the host. I tried the manual installation via ESXi Shell but still vCloud Director does show the host as prepared.

Any suggestions?

Check that link, it think it pretty much summons the process.

Hi,

thanks for the link but I don't see how it could help me. The author describes the manual installation of vCloud Agent and that is exactly what I did. He doesn't talk about howto actually get vCD to see the host as prepared.

Sorry. I believe the host should turn up as prepared without interference..
