External network in Vcloud director.

  Hi,

Why are external network created in Vcloud directory(I read that it is used to connect Vcloud director to external world). What exactly will be the external world and if I don't want to connect the vcloud director to any other network, can I ignore creation of external network?

yes, this is fine.  if you want a completely encapsulated environment, then you can't use SSH/RDP to access the systems.  You'd have to use the VMRC for access, and you'd have to install software from ISO in the Catalog.

It can be limiting, but works well for a completely contained environment.

Hi,

Thanks for you replay..

We have virtual machines with two network cards and two IP address, one for production and other is for management access. How can we create external network? We have one IP for customer access and other for our access.

Thanks in Advance,
