Downloading vCloud Director

I am sorry if this question is already asked here..My question is i am trying to evaluate vCD for my exam but when i am trying to download i can see only vCD virtual appliance 5.1, it's a new version i believe, how can i get vCD 1.5 setup so that i can try installing and configuring manually..for learning purpose.

and on vmware certification portal version 1.5 is mentioned, so how can i practice on 1.5 as it is not available for download..I am confused

Yes..I tried that too..but when i try to download it will ask me for Vmware account username password and once i put in the credential, it will give me error message as "You are not entitled to download this product.                                     VMware vCloud Director 1.5" download trial..

When i go to download trial, i can only see free vCD 5.1 appliance...please suggest..

Hi Nish,

Sorry to hear that - yes, sounds like a possible restriction on your account. In your company do you have a VMware support agreement? if so you should be able to get access or get your vmware id added as a company admin for the account? that way you should be able to download.

I think you can only trial the current versions of the product.  Therefore you would have to request a trial for vCloud 5.1.

I know this doesn't help, but explains what you are seeing on the website.
