How exactly did you try to disable the vCenter Server?

Did you perform the following as per page 64 of the vCloud Director Admin Guide at http://www.vmware.com/pdf/vcd_10_admin_guide.pdf ??

Enable or Disable a vCenter Server

Procedure:

  1. Click the Manage & Monitor tab and click vCenters in the left pane.

  2. Right-click the vCenter Server name and select Disable vCenter or Enable vCenter.

  3. Click Yes.

Remove a vCenter Server

Prerequisites:

Before you can remove a vCenter server, you must disable it and delete all of the provider vDCs that use its resource pools.

Procedure:

  1. Click the Manage & Monitor tab and click vCenters in the left pane.

  2. Right-click the vCenter Server name and select Detach vCenter.

  3. Click Yes

Can you please gather the vCloud Director logs as per the instructions in http://www.youtube.com/user/VMwareKB#p/u/6/Ns0U1Tpyq_c and http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1026312 and attach them to this thread so that people can analyze them in attempt to assist you further?
