Dhcp settings of the organization

Hi

What is the difference between the DHCP settings of the network and

the DHCP setting of the edge gateway of the network. It seems that

one can set different values for the two.

The egde gateway settings seems logical, but what is the DHCP of

an organization network?

Thanks Denes

They are two different networks. The first screenshot shows an isolated network configured with DHCP services.if you enable dhcp in an isolated network, an Edge device is being deployed with only the DHCP functionality.

The second screenshot shows an Edge Gateway which is normally used for Routed networks. this edge device can be configured for other services like NAT, Firewall, Static routing, etc.

Both of them provide DHCP services to vApps that connect to them. Note that there are 3 types of Organization vDC network: Isolated, Routed and Direct Connect

Hi

Thanks for the clarification.

Does this mean that the edge gateway deployed for the isolated network is not visible in the edge gateway tab?

Can an edge gateway "serve" multiple pair of networks?

Thanks,

Denes
