Cross VCD Networking shared Public IP Space

Hi All

We have  VCD 10 running with setup with 2 sites. We can happily create DC Groups and Stretched networks that span both sites with no underlying VXLAN issues.. What I'm not quite getting my head around currentlly is the ingress side. In the 2 sites there are 2 sepearte external networks? Is it possible to share the same Public IP Space to allow failover of the ESGs for ingress purposes?

Hi Chris,

Are you asking if we could share the same IP across both sites, or the same IP space between both sites? The latter could be possible - split up your Public IP CIDR block between the two sites within the IP Pool of each External Network and assign accordingly. However, there isn't a way to move an allocated Edge IP from one site to another during a failover/migration.
