Caused by: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-28001: the password has expired

Hi All,

After I installed vCloud Director and has it up and running OK for the past 2 weeks. Now after rebooting yesterday for ESX maintenance, I am getting the following error in the /opt/vmware/cloud-director/logs/vcloud-container-info.log:

Caused by: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-28001: the password has expired

vCould Director crashes and refuses to come up, ;-(.

Has anybody out there seen this problem also? How can I fix this? Thanks in advance for your help. Cheers.

Which Oracle password are we talking about? I don't recall I have to set the expiration date on any passwords when I installed and set up Oracle on vCloud Director. Can you please point me to the installation manual regarding what password vCloud Director is using and looking for? Thanks again.

Thanks for the great pointers. Once I use Oracle Enterprise Manager to update the "vcloud" user's expired password, vCloud Director comes up fine. Cheers.
