CISCO ACI backed network migration

Hi

We are running vCenter 6.5 U2 and need to migrate our cisco aci dvs to a vmware dvs which the cisco ave appliance utilises the cisco migration tool creates the virtual portgroups and migrates all vms to their appropriate portgroup however this breaks vCloud Directors management of the network space (the network is a different MoID in vCenter so vCloud is not aware that this is the correct portgroup).

Any suggestions how we can migrate to the new dvs and not break vCloud director at the same time?

Kind Regards

Can you explain what type of VCD networks you have currently in this setup ( Tenant networks) and how they are connected?

Hi Sreec

The networks in question are currently deployed as direct connect external networks

I can't comment on ACI port group migrations as I have never tested them. However, what you can do is create a new DVS with the required port groups for the external network and map to VCD. If you have overlapping VLAN , follow https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/2003988
