Blocking task during vApp Instantiate

Hello Everyone,

We are currently calling the instantiate VAPP from the vCloud API and we want to do a blocking task before vApp Deploy so we can execute some scripts to modify the VMs before they power on so then once the scripts execute then power on the VAPP.

I thought the "Start vApp (Deploy from API)" would block during the instantiate but it does not. Am I missing something to get the blocking task to execute at Start vApp???

Couple of questions, Which version of vCloud Director are you using?

Have u selected blocking task for Start vApp(Deploy from API) or instantiate vApp from template?

Is the workflow getting to wait state on vCO?

Hello

We are currently using 5.1.2 of vcloud Director.

Yes I have chosen the blocking task Start Vapp deploy from API.  That's what has me perplexed I thought it should have stopped the vapp from starting until we told it to resume.
