why after restore dvswitch can not select port group from dvswitch

Dear all

Hi

i did right click on my dvswitch and select export and save backup file then remove my dvswitch now right click on datacenter and select import and dvswitch import complete but now when right click on vm and select edit setting in network adapter can not see dvswitch portgroups and just can select portgroups from standard switch

what is problem??

when you exported your DV Switch, did you do it along with portgroups?

if not, restore would have done just the DVswitch restore without any portgroups.

OR

perhaps you have exported DVSwitch with all the port groups

but at the time of restore, you have not restored it with port groups.

i had to select this option :

Preserve original distributed switch and port group identifiers
