vCenter Server is licensed per instance, i.e. with one license you can deploy one "instance" of vCenter Server, i.e. install it once.

Hi ,

Each Instance refereed to vCenter Server  , Please refer below for detailed information .  Also based on the number of vCenter Instance only Licencing , and it varies based on configurations such as linked mode .
