I wonder something. I will download 20 TB files from the windows file server virtual machine to my notebook. the virtual machine has a e1000 network adapter. If I change this to vmxnet3, speed increase? download speed increase? ESXi has a 10gbit network adapter.

It should be faster because the e1000 is an emulated 1GB NIC and the vmxnet3 if 10GB.
