Hi

i am using vSphere 6 and my esxi hosts are running update1.

On my virtual machines instead of installing vmware tools that comes with hypervisor , can i download manually new vmware tools which vmware releases frequently and install on vms.

will i face any issue on my vms if i use the new tools.

Hi,

You can always download VMware Tools manually from VMware website. However, before you do that, please verify it's compatibility with VMware vSphere Hypervisor from VMware Product Interoperability Matrixes page.
