vmware tools issue in RedHat 7

Hi All,

In Redhat 7 server vmtools is showing as managed only not showing current and up to date .Why this is happening ?Whether due to open vm tools with OS package ,if means how to make as it as current in vsphere console ?

You need to  first un-install open vmware tools then install vmware tool.

Follow this KB , need vm restart

Which will be good and recommended to have open tools or guest managed by vsphere or open tools ?
